Kristen Stewart, looking effortlessly fluent and delicate, poses for the new ‘Rosabotonica’ fragrance by Balenciaga. The actress, reprising her role as the face of Balenciaga scents, worked side-by-side with photographer Craig McDean for the campaign. It was speculated that Stewart was to be dropped once Alexander Wang came in as creative director, as she was a Nicholas Ghesquiere favorite.
“I’d never worn a scent before I tried Balenciaga Florabotanica, but like clothes can make you aware of different aspects of yourself so a smell can elevate you,” she explained. “There’s something hot about it – a little heated and slightly more dangerous than the name suggests.” ‘Florabotanica’ was Balenciaga’s last scent before ‘Rosabotonica’, both campaigns were fronted by Stewart.
Channeling her infamous mid-open jaw, the dominant photo chosen for the campaign features the scarlet posing topless in black and white with a vibrant technicolor flora vine and perfume bottle. The new fragrance contains hints of hyacinth, fig leaf, grapefruit, pink pepper, cardamom, cedar wood, and patchouli.
The scent goes on sale on January 29th.
