The world of music and makeup collides with the new Artist Rouge lipstick collection with makeup company Make Up For Ever, singing duo Icona Pop, and makeup artist Colby Smith. Make Up For Ever is going back to their roots as they cater to stage artists and the array of personalities across the world with this campaign. Icona Pop, known for their hit song with Charlie XCX, “I Love It,” teamed up with the makeup giant to co-create an exclusive and vibrant music video for their single “Emergency,” which features some of the vivid hues of the metallic lipsticks.
The Swedish pop group mentions how Artist Rouge is an essential tool for them:
“Makeup is so important for us when we are on stage, to do something fun for people. You can become a superwoman with just some blush and a black lipstick. We express ourselves through music—but also through how we dress and how we wear our makeup. Make Up For Ever is perfect for us because it’s edgy and cool—plus there are so many different colors to play with!”
The Artist Rouge lipstick collection by Make Up For Ever features 46 intense colors, 31 cream shades, and 15 matte shades. “There are so many colors and they are so intense that you can create any color you want,” said Icona Pop’s makeup artist, Colby Smith. The texture and the color payoff are incredible—you can use them for hours, they don’t dry off and the color stays there!” There will be two limited-edition lipsticks featuring Icona Pop’s signature. Caroline chose a velvety matte deep red, while Aino chose a creamy, dark blue. Be on the look out as the collection hits stores soon. Also make sure not to miss Colby’s makeup on Charli XCX for The Untitled Magazine’s #GirlPower Issue and recent shoot with rising star Marina Kaye photographed by Indira Cesarine!
