BACKSTAGE AT PROSE
Prose designer, Miriam Lehle, was inspired to create her Fall 2012 collection from an old curtain that she found and cut up into pieces. The collection reflected the colors of the curtain, with midnight, ochre, and chestnut. It also mimicked its detailing, with explosive, dramatic fringe on almost every look that had a feather-like effect. The collection eschewed the tendency of some young designers to follow trends blindly, and instead focused on bold, unforgettable, statement pieces.
