Support Planned Parenthood at the “Spring Into Action” After Party. Taking place on May 1, the “Spring Into Action” Gala and After Party is Planned Parenthood NYC’s largest fundraising event of the year. Hosted by St. Vincent, Karamo Brown and Jackson & Satchel Lee, the event will feature DJ Questlove with performances by Tina Burner and Holly Box-Springs. Committee members include The Untitled Space’s Indira Cesarine, Swoon, Zoe Buckman, Mia Moretti, Molly Crabapple, Natalie White, Molly Krause and more.
The funds raised at this event keep Planned Parenthood NYC‘s doors open and services accessible throughout the year. This year’s event is especially critical—PPNYC is currently fighting the Domestic Gag rule, which would prevent them from participating in Title X, the nation’s only family planning program. If this rule were to go into effect, which is scheduled to occur May 3, PPNYC would face an immediate $1.4 million deficit.
