Frieze Art Fair Los Angeles, a highly anticipated event in the art world, returns to Santa Monica Airport in 2024. This edition, directed by Christine Messineo and architecturally crafted by Kulapat Yantrasast’s WHY studio, offers a reimagined, expansive layout. This year’s fair will bring together over 95 exhibitors from 21 countries, with nearly half representing the Greater Los Angeles area, highlighting its growing influence in the global art scene.
This year’s edition is more than an art fair; it’s a celebration of Los Angeles’ vibrant art scene and a gathering point for international art enthusiasts. It will feature a diverse range of galleries, including locals like Blum and David Kordansky Gallery, and international heavyweights such as Gagosian and Hauser & Wirth. The Focus section, curated by Essence Harden, will explore ecological themes, showcasing a variety of U.S. galleries. New participants like Shanghai’s Bank and Manila’s Silverlens, along with others like Kasmin and Petzel, will also make their debut, enhancing the fair’s global appeal.

This year, Felix LA showcases over 60 galleries from around the globe, including local favorites like Charlie James Gallery and Morán Morán, as well as international participants like Heidi (Berlin) and Entrance Gallery (New York). The fair will also feature an exciting collaboration between Dover Street Market and artist Oscar Tuazon, presenting a shoppable installation that blends fashion and art.
Felix LA has become a staple in Los Angeles’s cultural landscape, offering an alternative to the conventional art fair format.
