For nearly three decades Tim Rollins and his collective K.O.S. have shared in the collaborative art making process, creating works that are grounded in the artists’ personal experiences while also engaging with historical literature, contemporary culture, and the existing social and political climate. The upcoming exhibition will feature a sixteen-foot-long On the Origin of the Species painting, along with a selection of smaller-scale works from the same series.
This will be Tim Rollins & K.O.S.’s third exhibition with Lehmann Maupin. The artist lives and works in New York.
