The women of Conversations
On Monday, October 13th, 2014, New York City artist Cleo Wade celebrated the launch of her new poetry book titled “Falling Out of Love With You Is Eternal.” The event took place in Francesco Clemente’s private art studio in Soho and was hosted by Conversations, a New York-based female art collective comprising of Kate Greer, Liza Voloshin, Margot, Mia Moretti, and Wade herself. Best-known for her series of paintings depicting deep emotion and moments in time utilizing words as a medium, Wade’s book is a hand-bound book of poetry, art and collaborative photography. With music curated by Moretti — a mix of jazz classics, a live pianist, and 1960s albums — members of the fashion and art elite gathered around to celebrate Wade’s new project. The evening also included a live performance of three new songs from Margot’s upcoming album and a reading by Wade from “Falling Out of Love With You Is Eternal.”
