Tina: How does Hope’s look and style compare to yours in real life?
Danielle: Hope’s style is pretty simple. When she’s not in uniform, her go-to look is a t-shirt, jeans, a cardigan, and some badass Wonder Woman heels. I’m more of a chameleon, but I do have a bit of an edgier style. I love a good leather jacket and some killer boots.
Tina: Do you like to experiment with different makeup and hairstyles?
Danielle: Yes!! I love experimenting with different hair and makeup styles. As I said, I’m pretty fluid with my style as a whole, so it just depends on my mood or the day. But my go-to look is a dark or nude lip, some lashes, and embracing my natural curl.
Tina: Are you pretty on top of your skincare routine being in front of the camera and wearing makeup often? What are your go-to products?
Danielle: I am, actually. I really enjoy taking care of my skin, and my makeup artist on set takes good care of me, too. Don’t get me wrong, my skin doesn’t necessarily enjoy having pounds of makeup on every day, but I’m all about nourishing my skin from the inside out. I’m a strong believer in drinking lots of water, investing in a jade roller, and religiously applying sunscreen.
Tina: Early morning set times and diet must factor in to how you look and feel. How do you keep a healthy balance?
For sure. If I didn’t take care of my body, I would have a much harder time getting through a typical 16 hour day. So I really do swear by eating well and working out. But I don’t feel like you can lead a healthy lifestyle without having balance.
Life is short, and there’s too much good food in this world and many memories to be made to hate yourself for enjoying it. It’s cliché, but it really is all about maintaining balance.
Tina: Who are your favorite style and beauty icons?
Danielle: So many people going all the way back to Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe. But if we’re talking a little more recent, I love Zendaya’s experimentation with beauty and Selena Gomez’s simple, but edgy style. Also, Naomi Campbell‘s authenticity with her style inspires me to step outside of the box with my looks.
Tina: You work hard. Can you share some of your go-to indulgences or splurges?
Danielle: I do love to shop, so every now and again I’ll treat myself to something I’ve had my eye on. But my guilty pleasure is honestly just laying at home in my sweatpants, eating some chocolate, and drooling over Outlander.
