In just three weeks, be the first to shop over 200 designer brands at Housings Works‘ annual Fashion for Action benefit. On Thursday, November 20th 2014, the opening night kicks off with a VIP shopping hour and glamorous reception. Supported by the fashion industry’s most influential designers, the highly anticipated event is an exclusive designer sale with prices up to 70% off retail. This year’s co-chairs, fashion icons Zac Posen and John Varvatos, along with television host and fashionista, Bevy Smith and other notable attendees will come together to support the charity event. All proceeds from this year’s Fashion for Action will benefit Housing Works’ youth outreach programming.
Guests attending the opening night get first dibs on over one million dollars worth of donated new, high-end apparel, accessories and merchandise from luxury brands like: Zac Posen, John Varvatos, Louis Vuitton, Diesel, Kate Spade and Vince. The intimate shopping party is located at the newly renovated Housing Works Chelsea Thrift Shop. Guests can dance the night away at the Rubin Museum of Art afterwards. The sale continues and opens to the public November 21st – 23rd.
At the 11th annual Fashion for Action, proceeds will benefit Housing Works’ youth outreach programming which provides dedicated HIV-prevention and treatment services for young people living with HIV/AIDS, are at risk of infection or are homeless.

Fashion for Action began in 2004 with founding chair Andre Leon Talley and the late Natasha Richardson at the helm. Past event chairs have also included Thom Browne, Patricia Clarkson, Francisco Costa, Dree Hemingway, Marc Jacobs, Natalie Joos, Derek Lam and Rachel Roy. Together with the support of the fashion and beauty community, the benefit has grown to raise $400,000 in 2013 and almost $5 million towards the fight against HIV/AIDS in New York City.
