Leslie-Lohman Museum of Art x TRAVIS TADDEO Launch Party

On June 20th, in honor of Pride month, the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Art will release a limited edition capsule collection with the brand TRAVIS TADDEO. The collection will unite the worlds of art and fashion to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community and the wide spectrum of queer identities and experiences, while recognizing the trailblazing history of queer culture. Featuring handmade t-shirts and silk scarves, the collection also includes tote bags featuring the text “I’m A Thousand Different People – Every One Is Real” based on pioneering transgender actress and muse Candy Darling. Leslie-Lohman and TRAVIS TADDEO worked with photographer Deonté Lee to capture the vision at the core of the collection, which was modeled by individuals selected after an open call on social media. The day-long photoshoot took over the museum’s exhibits and included actress Brigette Lundy-Paine, performance artist Kembra Pfahler, and Leslie-Lohman community members like Olivia Morgan.
The Leslie-Lohman Museum of Art is the only museum in the world dedicated to LGBTQIA+ art, housing over 30,000 objects and a research library with over 3,000 volumes. Committed to accessibility and inclusivity, the museum provides a welcoming environment for all visitors and aims to be a home for queer artists, scholars, activists, and allies. It serves as a platform for exploring queer perspectives through exhibitions, programs, educational initiatives and collaborations, fostering understanding and appreciation of LGBTQIA+ experiences.
