This Sunday’s Academy Awards proved to be a small step towards returning to normalcy following the past year’s pandemic. Hollywood’s most notable filmmakers, actresses, and actors gathered together for a red carpet, fashion-filled, maskless, and socially distanced awards show. This year’s nominations were highly anticipated as some of the most diverse nominations to be given by the Academy, including many more women and people of color up for some of the top categories.
