The Hong Kong International Art Fair celebrates its fifth year, once again showcasing the best in contemporary art at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center from May 17 -20. The Art Fair features work from 266 galleries representing 39 countries all over the world. Hong Kong is the third-largest art auction center in the world, after New York and London, making it an international and Asian art hub that has been hailed as the newest vibrant, burgeoning art scene. Every year the Art Fair draws over 63,000 visitors from all over the world, showcasing the best contemporary art from prestigious galleries such as Gagosian Gallery, Marian Goodman Gallery, Sean Kelly Gallery, Galerie Emmanuel Perrotin, and more. The International Art Fair has even garnered attention from Art Basel who have purchased a sixty percent stake in ART HK. The Art Fair provides a showcase for emerging artists attracting international attention from influential professionals in the industry. Besides exhibiting artwork, the Hong Kong International Art Fair will also host a series of talks and events organized by Asia Art Archive, who have assembled leading collectors, curators, critics, and artists to discuss important issues affecting the art world.
