On Thursday, November 5th, 2015, The Bruce High Quality Foundation will open the doors of their Brooklyn studio for ARCADIA, an exhibition, concert, and party.  Inspired by Nicholas Poussin’s Arcadia Paintings, the event will celebrate the radical BHQFU community and its creative talents.  ARCADIA will feature live performances from Francis and the Lights, Brianna Lance and LE1F, DJ sets from Justin Strauss and House of Ladosha, a live video set by Zoe Berger, and performance art by James Sprang, Z Behl and Eamon Monaghan.

The event will be presented by Host-Committee members Alban de Pury, Alexander Acquavella, Alexander Clark, Anna McKnight, Banksy, Becca McCharen, Bob Colacello, Brianna Lance, Chloe Wise, Cleo Wade, Dev Hynes, Ethan Silverman, House of Ladosha, India Salvor Menuez, Jayson Musson, Joe Mizzi, Jon and Alessandra Neidich, Lily Johnson-White, Mickey Sumner, Phong Bui, Selby Drummond, and Vito Schnabel.

An Absolut Art Bar designed by The Bruce High Quality Foundation with specialty cocktails and an immersive Arcadian Forest Photo booth will also be featured.

BHQFU_ARCADIA

BHQFU is New York’s freest art school, a learning experiment where artists work together to manifest creative, productive, resistant, useless, and demanding interactions between art and the world. A 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, BHQFU offers completely tuition-free courses on a variety of subjects during fall and spring semesters, hosts public programs and exhibitions year-round, and operates cost-free artist studio residency programs.
