FIRE DANCERFiredancer (2:36) directed by Patrik Andersson, is a video art film featuring firedancer Claire de Luxe. Using kaleidoscopic visual effects, Andersson creates a colorful and emotive universe. Music by Bix @ Soundpets.

Born 1964 in Gothenburg Sweden, Patrik Andersson came to New York in his early twenties. His clean style and direct vision caught the attention of international creative directors and fashion stylists. Before long, he was featured in Italian, French and American Vogue, Interview, Harper’s Bazaar, W, The Face, New York Times Magazine and Allure.

Commercial clients have included Giorgio Armani, Calvin Klein, The Gap, H&M, Sony, Casio, AT&T, Island Records, Disney and DreamWorks.

Throughout his career, Patrik has been capturing memorable moments in politics, music, film, art, and the fashion industry. He photographed a large format close-up of President Clinton for the memorial issue of George, Kate Moss’ first W cover, and when Mick Jagger turned fifty, Patrik shot the celebratory cover image for Esquire.

Working in Los Angeles as well as New York he has been a part of creating the image of celebrities such as Lenny Kravitz, Jennifer Lopez, Muhammad Ali, Kate Hudson, Tobey Maguire, Vanessa Paradis, James Cameron, Oliver Stone, Salman Rushdie, Ray Charles, Orlando Bloom, Ben Stiller, Isabella Rossellini, Francesco Clemente, Alicia Silverstone, Gwyneth Paltrow, REM, Kevin Spacey, John Cusack, Bon Jovi, Fiona Apple, Matt Dillon, Mark Wahlberg, Whitney Houstan, Laura Dern, Harry Dean Stanton, David Lynch and many others.

Patrik has added to his personal work with a book containing 25 years of photography, produced by an award winning design team. The images are from projects with small digital cameras to the giant 20×24 inch color negative contact prints made on a journey that covered America. The book also includes much of the fashion and celebrity portraiture for which he is well known.

In addition to print work, he recently wrote and directed a short-film homage to 60’s style European cinema. The expansion to film has resulted in many new projects with the moving image. They range from straight documentary storytelling and industrials to commercials and experimental ambient mash-ups.

The industry veteran BIX joined the group Soundpets in 2008.  His experience in the field of commercial music is considered an amazing asset to the company.

Throughout his career as a musician BIX has worked with several music firms, countless agencies and producers.  Amongst his credits as a composer is work for X-Box, Verizon, BMW, Mercedes Benz and many others.  He is equally fluid in a variety of styles, methods and approaches and in addition to being an amazing composer he is a prolific sound designer.  As a matter of fact BIX’s favorite kind of work is a combination of sound design and music.

BIX’s first projects under the helm of soundpets were two spots for Mitsubishi in Canada.  The job was out of BBDO in Toronto, it was directed by Aron Hjartarson and produced by The Mill in New York.
