Kopeikin Gallery in Los Angeles, CA presents Ensembles Assembled this fall – the gallery’s second solo exhibition by German photographer, Katrin Korfmann. This new body of work – included in her corresponding monograph – continues her interest and exploration of people in groups over a specific period of time. Taken from a bird’s-eye perspective, the individuals are captured in static moments in a group-setting, becoming a singular, monolithic being. The compositions are created with a strong aesthetic – there is a pure, painterly quality infused to the images – re-telling stories of daily life to the viewer.
