Lily-Rose Depp is blossoming into a career of her own. After walking in the Chanel couture show earlier in the year, the 16-year-old daughter of Johnny Depp has officially been named the face and ambassador of Chanel‘s Fall/Winter 2015-2016 eyewear campaign on July 15th.
Chanel is a french fashion house that specializes in haute couture, ready-to-wear clothing, luxury goods, and fashion accessories. The label is best known for its “little black dress”, Chanel N.5 perfume, Chanel suit, and Coco Chanel’s great influence on the fashion industry. In 1983, Karl Lagerfeld took over as the label’s chief designer. His signature white hair pulled back in a ponytail and keen eye for detail and innovation have only continued to propel the brand forward. Today the company has a number of shops worldwide and continues to promote the idea of elegance and the importance of women’s fashion.
Lily-Rose’s campaign features the model in a a pair of circular Chanel sunglasses rimmed with pearls and a white and cream blouse. The young model no longer needs to worry about the shadows of her famous father, because she is carving out her own path to major stardom.
