LONDON’S FIRST CONTEMPORARY ART WALK OPENS

the line

London’s non-profit art walk, “The Line”, launched May 23 and opened to the public in East London. The path follows the line of the Greenwich Meridian, across 3 miles from London’s waterways from The O2, the Royal Docks, and Three Mills. The exhibit features sculptures by Martin Creed, Abigail Fallis, Damien Hirst, Gary Hume, Sir Eduardo Paolozzi, Thomas J Price, Sterling Ruby, Thomson & Craighead, and Piotr Uklanski. More artists will be installed in the coming months.

This outdoor project has helped bring high-quality artworks out of warehouses into the public eye. These works will be on display for about a year or two, and once their lease expires, will be replaced by other artists. Aside from having outdoor art, there are plenty of indoor gallery exhibitions that will be held as well.
