The CFDA has released their preliminary fashion week schedule where the Summer 2020 collections will be presented. Kicking off on September 6, 2019 with Telfar, the schedule includes big brand names like Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger, but it also paves way for smaller brands like Christian Cowan and Lou Dallas. This season, the CFDA alongside with chairman Tom Ford, decided to shorten the duration of fashion week to five days and five nights, prompted by several seasons’ worth of feedback from domestic and international stakeholders:
“We listened to feedback from both the domestic and the global fashion industry to tighten and strengthen the Official New York Fashion Week schedule,” said Steven Kolb, President and CEO of the CFDA. “I am excited for the strong September lineup which will continue to showcase and celebrate the creativity and diversity of American fashion.”
