BOSTON CALLING 2017 WAS A FESTIVAL OF EPIC PROPORTIONS

A festival goer looks on in awe. Felicia Pinckney for The Untitled Magazine.

For the last four years in Boston, Memorial Day weekend has marked the city’s most vibrant musical affair known as Boston Calling. The annual three day festival – which boasts an impressive slew of past performers that include Kendrick Lamar, Beck, Janelle Monae and The National – made the major move from downtown at Boston’s confined City Hall Plaza to Harvard’s spacious Athletic Complex. With 3 stages, over a dozen vendors and a newly introduced comedy arena, this year’s Boston Calling was one of epic proportions. Fans withstood rainy weather to see Chance The Rapper in all of his glory; Wolf Parade tugged at the audience’s heart strings with a riveting performance and Major Lazer finally brought their party back to the festival (they also played Boston Calling in 2013) . Check out some flicks from this past weekend’s festivities below.
