The David Lynch Foundation is presenting the first “Festival of Disruption” on October 8th and 9th in Los Angeles, California at the Ace Hotel and Theater. This interactive experience will be curated by filmmaker and artist David Lynch who will be featured for his photography exhibit along with Chris Stein. The two day event will have shows by Robert Plant & the Sensational Space Shifters, St. Vincent, Rhye and Jon Hopkins. Also featured will be music performances from Twin Peaks by Angelo Badalamenti with Sky Ferreira and Xiu Xiu and Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith. Attendees can also catch public conversations with Frank Gehry, Mel Brooks, Kyle MacLachlan & Laura Dern and Blondie‘s Debbie Harry & Chris Stein.

Guests of the festival will be able to experience all of the acts that they are interested in as they please. From top to bottom, the entire Ace Hotel will be transformed with all the different segments featured in the festival. The line-up that Lynch has formulated will provide nonstop entertainment for festival-goers to enjoy. Along with the musical talent, there will be a dance number by choreographer Ryan Heffington, DJ sessions by Questlove and Jason Bently and a visual virtual experience by Chris Milk.

The purpose of the “Festival of Disruption” is to raise funds and awareness for the issue of toxic stress and trauma that plagues high risk areas. The foundation believes that the use of meditation can combat the effects of post traumatic stress. One hundred percent of the proceeds will go towards the cause. As of now, tickets are sold out but be on the look out for future updates.
