On Wednesday night, a stylish crowd gathered to celebrate the launch of the Empowered By You x Scoop NYC collaboration at the Meatpacking District Scoop outpost commemorate Women’s History Month. The lingerie collection, which  was displayed throughout the store, quickly sold out during the event! “We focused on creating that perfect everyday panty that makes you feel the most comfortable and confident,” said Renata M. Black, founder of Empowered By You.” Empowered By You takes a symbol of seduction and repositions it as one of empowerment. When a woman purchases Empowered By You, she knows she’s helping one of the 60% of the women in the world who live on less than a $1 a day.”

The high-tech, panties created by Renata M. Black, incorporate a patented silicone “flocking” technology and side-seam fusion technique that prevents slippage and imparts smoothness to ensure a steady wear. The panties are sold as single units in reusable and re-sealable packaging. Each package includes an insert with a personal testimonial from one of 2,415 women who has received a loan from Seven Bar Foundation to start her own business. Throughout the night, guests enjoyed champagne, mini cupcakes and a GIF booth. The mini cupcakes were provided by Love Joy Sweet Treats, which was funded from the proceeds of Empowered By You undies.
