MOSS IS THE ULTIMATE MUSE IN ‘MOVING KATE’ EXHIBITION @ SHOWSTUDIO

A new exhibition at SHOWstudio features Kate Moss as the ultimate model muse. Moving Kate features the supermodel as drawn by 30 of the fashion world’s most famous illustrators including the popular watercolor artist Fahren Feingold who’s work was recently featured in the exhibit UPRISE/ANGRY WOMEN at The Untitled Space. Feingold’s piece in Moving Kate is titled “Yves Saint Laurent’s S/S 93” was hand selected by Kate Moss as one of the most iconic catwalk looks of her career.

SHOWstudio director, Nick Knight commissioned work from each artist, including Unskilled Worker, Gill Button, and Jenifer Corker. Commenting on  this process, Knight said,

“The result is a uniquely beautiful exhibition that shows the many exciting ways each artists sees the model who has come to symbolize what fashion means for a whole generation.” -Nick Knight

The London exhibition also features exclusive footage from SHOWstudio’s archives and a range of fashion films, commissioned drawings, and 3D printed sculptures. Of the show, its model muse said, “It was such a pleasure to have the chance to look back on the incredible clothes I have worn on the catwalks and to see how these have inspired SHOWstudio’s amazing selection of fashion illustrators. It brings back many memories and feels like a fitting tribute to the wonderful designers I have worked with.”
