The Untitled Magazine has announced an open call to artists, photographers, and creatives for an exclusive digital cover story to be released this May 2023 to coincide with Frieze Week NYC, presented in collaboration with The Untitled Space art gallery.

Have you always wanted to have your artwork on a magazine cover?  This is your chance to inspire countless people with your unique artistic voice.

We are thrilled to announce our first-ever open call to artists for an exclusive digital cover story, including promotion across the magazine’s social media channels and the option to have your work featured by The Untitled Space gallery on Artsy. Have your artwork seen by more than 500,000+ international viewers, including Untitled’s global audience of leading galleries, museums, influencers, collectors, curators, talent, and art lovers around the world. The feature will be seen across art and media channels, shared virally on social media, and appreciated by the creative community around the world.

The Untitled Magazine is looking for an artist with an exceptional body of work for this unique opportunity. The selected artist will be featured with a cover story along with an exclusive interview on their work for The Untitled Magazine. The special edition cover story will be featured on the magazine’s online edition as well as social media channels along with an online exhibition of the artist’s portfolio, which can optionally also be for sale by The Untitled Space gallery. 

The Untitled Magazine Cover Opportunity includes:

  • MAY 2023 COVER FEATURE. Your artwork featured on the cover of The Untitled Magazine’s May 2023 online edition.
  • EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW. An exclusive interview featured in the magazine along with a portfolio of your work and artist biography as part of the magazine’s feature.
  • SOCIAL MEDIA COVERAGE. Promotion of the cover feature to the press and Untitled‘s international audience. Have your work seen by more than 500,000+ viewers around the world.
  • ONLINE EXHIBITION. The winning artist’s work will be featured in an online exhibition presented by Untitled, and can choose to have their artwork featured by The Untitled Space gallery on Artsy, as well as the gallery’s online sales platforms and socials.

The cover story will be curated by Indira Cesarine, editor-in-chief of The Untitled Magazine and founder of The Untitled Space gallery in Tribeca, NYC.

Submissions are open to artists and creatives internationally. All ages, genders and visual mediums will be considered. The open call is an open theme, artwork can be of any visual content, including abstract or figurative contemporary art, photography, digital art, fashion, or conceptual content. The artwork does not have to be for sale, and can be existing artwork from your current collection or archives. The Untitled team is looking for the most innovative and unique artwork for our May 2023 Digital Cover, ideally unlike anything we have published previously. Submit your most creative concepts! We are open to all types of content including images, gifs, and videos.

Submission Deadline: Midnight April 10, 2023.

The time is now to get your artwork in front of Untitled’s international audience of influencers, talent, artists, collectors, galleries, museums, and art lovers. The winning artist’s cover feature will be promoted to international media, with the cover and exhibition artwork shared with more than 1,000,000+ international viewers across all platforms, partner sites, and social channels.

About The Untitled Space

The Untitled Space is an art gallery located in Tribeca, New York in a landmark building on Lispenard Street. Founded in 2015, the gallery features exhibits of emerging and established contemporary artists exploring conceptual framework and boundary-pushing ideology through mediums of painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, video, and performance art. About Indira Cesarine

The Untitled Magazine’s editor-in-chief Indira Cesarine has become known for her empowering exhibitions and curatorial. After 15 years of working as a photographer between New York, London, and Paris, in 2009 Indira Cesarine launched The Untitled Magazine. Her work for the magazine, which presents exclusive interviews with inspirational artists, as well as articles on contemporary culture, includes overseeing all creative direction and content, as well as contributing as a photographer and journalist. Ever-expanding her creative vision, in 2015 she broadened her work to include art curatorial and founded The Untitled Space art gallery. Since launching The Untitled Space, Cesarine has curated over 50 exhibitions and has exhibited artwork by more than 500 artists. In 2019 Cesarine launched Art4Equality, a non-profit initiative supporting equality-themed art exhibitions and special projects including films and public art. She has partnered with a number of charitable foundations including ERA Coalition, Women’s Fund For Equality, She Should Run, SaveArtSpace, Coalition for the Homeless, and Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation among many others, raising funds for their causes via exhibitions, benefit art auctions, as well as a number of other fundraising initiatives. She has extended her curatorial to art fairs, including SCOPE and SPRING/BREAK Art Show.
