On Thursday, November 6th, 2014, The Bruce High Quality Foundation welcomed guests inside its rarely opened doors to celebrate NOT FOR PROFIT, a fundraising event hosted alongside an auction by Paddle 8 and Vito Schnabel in support of BHQFU. The auction featured works generously donated by members of the BHQFU community, students, faculty, and friends. Artists included Charline Von Heyl, Joshua Citerella, Ron Gorchov and Torey Thornton, Ebecho, among others. Guests were offered an opportunity to view and purchase a limited selection of works at the event. The evening also included a live music set from Dev Hynes aka Blood Orange, as well as DJ sets from Edan, Blazer Sound System, Max McFerren, and performances by comedians Ana Fabrega and Fake Injury Party.
BHQFU, now in its 5th year and serving over 700 students a semester and is officially a 501c3 nonprofit public charity. In light of this recognition they presented NOT FOR PROFIT an event to thank, celebrate, and support the BHQFU Community. 100% of the proceeds will go to BHQFU, thanks to their generous and underwriters The Bruce High Quality Foundation and Vito Schnabel.
Attendees included: Vito Schnabel, Dev Hynes, Bob Colacello, Waris Ahluwalia, Dustin Yellin, Alban de Pury, Selby Drummond, Lucien Smith, Stella Schnabel, India Menunez, Scout Willis, Sydnie Lansing, Ashley Smith, Rhys Gaetano, among others.
